Patricia Dewar (PhD)
Iyengar-Based Yoga Teacher
“Unless freedom is gained in the body, freedom of the mind is a far-fetched idea.”
BKS Iyengar
Patricia Dewar teaches yoga and trains yoga teachers in Saskatoon and elsewhere in Saskatchewan. She began her study of yoga in 1990 and continues to study and be inspired by yoga teachers in the Iyengar tradition. She is a graduate of the Advanced Studies Program at the Yoga Room in Berkeley, California led by Donald Moyer and Mary Lou Weprin, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) through Yoga Alliance. She is also deeply appreciative of her training with Fr Joe Pereira (Founder of the International Kripa foundation,) Judith Lasater (Relax and Renew) Gert Van Leeuwen (Critical Alignment Therapy) Lynne Minton and others.

Patricia has had a lifelong interest in studying and teaching body modalities that view the body as a vehicle of consciousness. Her ability to see and understand bodies enables students to discover their own trouble spots as well as guide them with helpful clues towards an integrated experience of each pose.
Currently Patricia gives classes, workshops, retreats and teaches individual private classes on request.
